Clan Heron People
Patrick Heron of Kirroughtree (1736–1803)Patrick Heron was a politician and banker. He was the Whig member of Parliament for Kirkcudbright Stewartry from between 1794 and 1803, the year of his death. Heron was also the subject of the ‘Heron Ballads’ by Robert Burns, who was a supporter of the politician.
